Testing Children Too Early?
by Todd Mundt
Jennifer Senior's article in New York has received a lot of attention. "The Myth of the Gifted Child" argues, forcefully, that too much rides on a single test that determines the intelligence of a four-year-old. What's more, she writes the kindergarten admission tests are worthless.
In this interview with WNYC's Brian Lehrer, Senior talks about her article. She's joined by Samuel J. Meisels, president of Chicago’s Erikson Institute.
